problem in detection of usb drive

when i insert pendrive,i coudn't see any contents in it even if it has some!! if i see it properties it wil show that the files have occupied the space in pendrive...so whts the problm with my pc?

what type of usb is it (2.0 or 3.0). I dont think that should cause any issues but can't hurt to know. Are all your drivers updated? Does the pendrive work on different computers? Do you often remove it without disconnecting it from Windows first? (sometimes it yells at you if you don't)

There could be a chance (although small) that you physically broke it, I've definitely done so before. Does it get knocked around a lot?

well a virus is a different issue, and since you said it works on other computers it seems like yours is the problem
does it work in any other ports (i assume not)? and again, did yo update your drivers?

are the files hidden or restricted somehow/for some reason?
