Using 2 VGA/DVI converters with VGA cable

I already have a VGA cable run to a projector. Can I use 2 VGA to DVI converters on the VGA cable and have real DVI?

No. The dvi-to-vga-converter converts nothing, but the plug. A dvi-i port has the digital (dvi) + the analog (vga) signal and the converter only connects the analog lanes. So on the other side, you will only get the analog signal out of the cable.
