I'm not that experienced building pcs. My dp55wg intel motherboard might be toast and that board is from 2009 and seem to be discontinued. How do I find a new board compatible with my ram, CPU, from my build I have right now? I think intel has boards with different sockets for different CPUs. Is it best to stick with intel?

Your going to have to find a board that supports the LGA1156 socket.
