I have always been confused with the different anti-aliasing settings in the Nvidia Control Panel. How does changing the anti-aliasing setting and changing the anti-aliasing transparency options effect each other?
Transparent anti-aliasing only works when anti-aliasing is on and it helps to anti-alias transparent objects like fences and leaves on the trees. When anti aliasing enabled like MSAA, without transparent anti-aliasing, the trees and fences or any other transparent objects are not anti-aliasied, so it reduces performance and you still see aliased objects, that's why I always in any game use transparent anti-aliasing, like Adaptive Anti-Aliasing in AMD Catalyst Control Center.
