My daughter had bought a new lap top from all people BEST BUY. Worked for a while then had to be taken back. They told her it needed a new hard drive which they took care of under warranty. Not long after it stopped working and when she took it back they would do nothing cause she didn't purchase the service warranty. They told her to get a recovery disc which was no help. So I figured I would just get a new windows 8 and install it. When trying this I keep getting No disk 0 found. I have been at this close too 20 hours and have found no fix. Please help if someone knows what I can do.

open the laptop up in bios and see if your hard disk is detected. If not, remove the access plate and visually inspect the hard drive. The sata connector might have come loose. If so, reseat both the data and the power connectors. then check bios again. If the hard disk isn't working then you might try removing it and installing it in a working computer (as an additional hard disk, don't replace the operating system with it). If the working computer recognizes the hard disk you should first scan it for viruses, then analyze it for problems. If all works well it should be able to be reinstalled in the laptop and then reimaged with windows.

If it isn't detected it has probably gone bad and will need to be replaced. I...
