Hello! The disk drive does fit into the case and as for the fan you can simply google it or there will be an installation manual in the box it comes with. Most fans are very easy to install do not worry.

Xigmatek Gaia SD1283 CPU Cooler Installation

What is in the box?
1x 120(W)x50(D)x158mm(H) H.D.T.(Heat-pipe Direct Touch) Heat-sink CPU cooler
1x 1500rpm 120mm "Hypro bearing" fan
1x User Manual/Warranty card
1x non-capacitive thermal paste pouch
1x Xigmatek Gaia bolt-threw installation kit

Installation kit:

for 1155/1156, 1366:

2) Remove any existing CPU back-plate from motherboard and install Xigmatek Gaia Backplate, being sure to line up with the mounting holes on motherboard.

3) From the front side of motherboard, insert insulating washer then the "knurled" nut. Hand tighten until backplate is firmly in place.

*This step is depicted partially completed for clarity*

4) Apply Thermal Paste in two thin, symmetrical lines across aluminum portion of heat-sink base.

5) After cleaning CPU surface, install heat-sink, making sure to line up holes with the bolts mounted on back-plate. secure with T-type nuts:
*Mounting bracket acts as a spring, it will bend slightly*

6) Gently pull rubber anti-vibration fan mounts through fan mounting holes using pliers

7) Feed each rubber mount threw the side of the heat-sink, being mindful of RAM module clearance.
*Tall memory modules may or may not interfere with heat-sink fan installation*

Plug fan into desired power source and enjoy :-)

and that dvd drive will surely install in the 5.25" bay

how about for the 1150 socket? does the foam stay in place? because the metal backside of the cpu holder is there and I assume there should be the foam between that and the heatsink backplate.

also it's confusing because the instructions say to remove any backplate from the cpu area. the 1150 has a cpu "backplate" on it but if you remove this you also remove the cpu socket. I assume anyway.

has anyone installed this with a 1150? I'm trying out the install process now since I have my MSI Z87-G45 and the Gaia cooler but don't have the cpu I ordered yet (i5-4670K)
