Overclocking FX 6100 AMD Processor

My base for this processor is 3.3 GHz
I have overclocked it from that to 3.5GHz through the motherboard by putting the multiplayer on 17.5

If I go above this, my system will crash.

What do I need to do? Can I go to 3.8-4?

  1. You need to up the voltage for stability. Make sure you use an aftermarket cooler.

How I much do I need to up the voltage, and how can I go?
  3. Each CPU is different. You'll need to find that info by changing voltage and booting up. If it boots run a stress test with a program like Prime95. If it doesn't boot then up the volts somemore.

Ok well, when I go to 3.7GHz and use OCCT (like prime 95) my system will shut down. Do I need to up the voltage? And just wondering, would I go lets say from 1 to 1.2?
