so with the slashed prices of the 7970/7950...

I assume they will take back their spots on the best gpu for the money-August?

  1. Meh. For a tiny bit more than a reference 7950 you can get an EVGA ACX 760, its a bit faster and silent, which can't be said of the reference 7950.

    There are a few on newegg for under 250 bucks. There was an HiS one for 219 but I guess it got sold out lol.
  3. Hey do you know how RAM frequency affects gaming performance? I recently bought 8 gigs of gskill ddr3 RAM and its 1600xmp. That frequency is the maximum my motherboard will take. How much of a performance gain would I see if I had RAM with a higher frequency?

    So long as you have enough capacity, RAM does not affect gaming what so ever.
  5. Yea I probably didn't even need to get this 8 gig gskill ram lol. Although I did have 6 gigs of ram with 6 one gig sticks and 3 of those being on a higher frequency than the other 3.
