Inspiron 5521: i5-3317u Vs i7-3537u

Hi there,

I was looking for a laptop for everyday use and casual gaming and i stumbled on to the dell inspiron 5521 equipped with an AMD Radeon 8730m gpu. Im having a little trouble deciding between two configurations: one with a core i7 3537u 8gb ram and one with core i5 3317u/3337u with 4gb....will there really be a huge difference in the performance?is the upgrade worth it?

i can always upgrade the ram..its just the processor..

Hey dude. The i5 and the i7 would have no real difference when it comes to gaming. The only performance boost you would get with the i7 is that it would be better for editing. So now it is your choice to decide. If you do not really edit much and are planning to mostly play games the i5 would be ideal. If you would want to do a crap load of things like editing and gaming the i7 would have an advantage. As for the ram 8gb would be really nice which, if you chose the i5, I hope you would upgrade to. I hope this helped you a lot.
