Hi, guy.

Recently, as I am trying to make best use of my limit budget. I am spending lots of time in Amazon.

Today, I find that
the price of single Intel Core i7-3930K is higher than that of two Intel Core i5-3570K. So I am considering if I could just have two Intel Core i5-3570K instead the i7-3930K. and If so, I need a dual cpu motherboad that support such configuration. Anyone know what kind of board is fine? I would hope the board support 1600Mz memory . By the way, if there is any intel Xeon cpu with similar frequency and lower price, I prefer Xeon.

Thanks very much! ^^

I think dual core motherboards are becoming a thing of the past due to the lag (or whatever the word is) between the 2. I have not checked but I would be very surprised if a motherboard exists that can run 2 3570Ks.

you can't use any consumer grade CPUs in two cpu setup. you can only do it with some Xeon cpus with two QPI links and all xeon cpus are more expensive with slightly lower frequency

No board exists that would support 2x 3570k. There are dual Xeon boards, but Xeons are more expensive than the normal i7's. The best bang for your buck as far as sheer processing power is going to be an AMD FX-8350.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. If I choose 2 AMD Fx-8350, it's also much cheaper than that i7 one. Would you please recommend a motherboard for such dual AMD fx-8350 configuration?

You can't run 2x 8350s on a board either. A single 8350 is the best value for multi-threaded performance right now.
