I am in the process of building a computer and I want to make it a gaming rig so I want to overclock my CPU. I want to get an air cooler because I don't know a lot about water cooling and the maintnence involved.

My case is a Corsair Obsidian 650d with three fans (120mm x2 and a single 80mm) I don't have a GPU yet but I'm planning on getting an Nvidia GeForce 780 I've heard the Noctua NH-D14 is good but I don't know if it'll fit in my case any suggestions?

I would definitely recommend that Hyper 212 Evo. It's fairly cheap , works very well, and is highly rated. It should let you overclock without any issue. But if money is no object, I am not the one to help because I am definitely a budget PC builder

You can spend the 70-80 bucks on the noctua and get about a 3* difference over the Hyper 212 or Xigmatek GAIA, both of which are under $30. I have the 212 on both my rigs and I've never had a problem.

I would suggest replacing the 80mm fan with a 120 - run two as intake and one as exhaust. Keep you wiring clean and as much out of the airflow as possible.
