Hi,
I've never done anything with bitcoin, but if I can pay for my components that way, I may investigate farther. How long would it take for a 7990 to pay back a $2000 system at the current bitcoin rate ($100)? Power costs are not important to me.
Thanks.
PS- I'm really just looking for a number!

Why would power not matter? As the article that was on Toms recently showed, for the most part power will eat all your coins. Even if you are like me and live at a place where power is included in the rent, then you could get kicked out or have the rent raised if you spike the power bill enough.

Thus, it is a fool’s errand to bid $20,000 for a pre-order of a 65 GH/s Avalon box on eBay. By the time it gets delivered, you will not be able to earn your investment back. Assuming a stagnating Bitcoin exchange rate, any graphics card will soon cost you more in electricity than it can generate in Bitcoins.

You want to use a GPU to pay you back for $2k? Not going to happen.
