Computer Won't Power-up

I woke up this morning and my computer was down. Turned it on, and it only lasted a few minutes before it went down, lost power. Then I couldn't turn it on again.

So I bought a new power supply, but since my system was about 4 yrs old and cables didn't quite match up, thought it time for an upgrade. Dropped in a new mATX board, 16Gb, i7 quad-core, GTX video, and a CX750M power supply.

Still couldn't turn it on. Replaced the new power supply for a TX750 power supply. Still nothing.

Now I'm starting to think the mother board. Could the power switch on the case be bad? I tried switching polarity on the board by turning it around and attaching it to the board, but it made no difference.

I also tried plugging it into two different power strips, still no go. Other devices do work on said strips.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

I just put a paperclip in the header that attaches to the motherboard from the PSU. I had a fan connected and the fan turned on, though the fan within the PSU didn't turn, so I'm hoping it was because there wasn't enough of a load on it.

But not sure where to go from here.

Yep, did that, no go. So I replaced the board. Things seem to be working.

Now my only question is about the PSU. It's a TX750. It powers my machine up, but the fan inside the PSU is not turning. Could it be that it only spins up when it starts to heat up? I do keep this room pretty cool.

Ugh, I feel like an idiot, replaced another PSU, only to find out thats how they're supposed to work. TX750M doesn't spin up unless it gets heated. Was even written on the box.
