3 terra Toshiba SATA3 - cant split

Just bought this 3 terra Toshiba SATA3 and installed it. The system wanted Intels Rapid Storage Technology software so I have installed that but I cant get the drive to operate.
Using EaseUS Partition Master 9.2.2 it will split into a 2 terra drive with the remaining 780 Gigs as Unallocated. Cant get that smaller part to assign a drive letter.
When I use Paragon Drive Backup it doesnt even recognise the partition, saying it cant use that drive at all.

Can you advise how to get this drive working. I need to clone info to it.
Thx

Solution
Cloning makes an exact copy of the source drive and then may expand the partition to use the full space of the destination drive. You may have copied more over then you intended but theres nothing wrong with that.

8 hours to clone 1tb seems unusually long to me though.

Thx Sakkura

Valuable information.
While waiting for a reply this morning I transferred nearly 600gb's of video files over the the Toshiba 3 terra (of course only 2 was available)...and it only took 6 hours:pt1cable:

Rather than start all over again by deleting the partition, can I retain all the information and convert to GPT? or does the drive need to be reformatted?
Thx

Reformatted. Tried using it with MiniTool Partition Wizard then Paragon Clone Pro but couldn't get it to work as GPT.

I could set up as GPT drive but Paragon Clone Pro wouldn't read it so had to go back to MBR/2gig limit to transfer a gig of video files to the faster (and internally connected) Toshiba.

I gather Im doing something wrong - or at least hope so cos nearly 800gb's is now not availalbe.

Hi
Whats a tosh?
I figured cloning would be faster than copying the files. The 1 terra I copied took at least 8 hours to transfer.

Hi again

I didnt clone the drive - i coudnt get Paragon Clone Pro to read it in GPT. I had to reformat the 3 terra to MBR to copy the files. In doing so of course i loose the other terra - so I only had 2 terra to use- which was defeating to purpose of having the 3. When I formatted to get full use of the 3 terrra set up as a GPT drive, Paragon Clone Pro wouldn't read it - it would not assign a drive letter - so I had to reformat to MBR/2gig limit to transfer a gig of video files to the faster (and internally connected) Toshiba.
