I am thinking about buying a custom PC for gaming and other uses to replace my current "Frankemputer", and after reading up on lots of computer parts, this is the build I have thrown together. I do know that a 3770K and 16gb of RAM are kinda overkill for gaming, however I intend for this computer to last me for a long time, and it will also not be exclusively for gaming.

I already have some storage and a copy of windows 7 which I intend to use in this computer.

This is what I have currently picked.

CPU: Intel i7-3770k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100 Liquid Colling
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16gb
Video Card: XFX Radeon HD 7950 3gb
Case: CM HAF 932 Full Tower
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast 850 Watt Bronze Certified.
Base Total: $1187.82

A few things of note (PLEASE READ):
- I intend to overclock.
- I already have peripherals including a wireless network card, however I do intend to upgrade eventually.
- I'm not sure if I will need more case fans, the website about the 932 wasn't very clear about that.
- The graphics card is only an "interim" card until Nvidia releases its 800 series. I chose the cheapest 7950 I could find because I liked the games that came with the Never Settle bundle.
- If there are any good mid tower cases that would still provide good cooling and space for larger GPUs that are cheaper than the current case, those would be preferred (Portability).
- I have a quite flexible budget.

There is no deadline for me needing a new computer, this is just an upgrade I was thinking of. If there is any new hardware or possible price drops incoming, I would be willing to wait.

I have three recommendations:
PSU: I would not cheap-out on a PSU, especially if you are spending over 1k on your build and plan on OC'ing, get an 80 Plus Gold or Platinum Certified one from Seasonic/Corsair/Antec/...

CPU/Mobo: go with socket LGA1150. Socket LGA1155 is done. So I would recommend Intel i7-4670K CPU/Z87 mobo.

Case: If mobility is your thing, what do you think of the Corsair Vengeance Series C70 - has two top handles, so it should be a bit easier to handle the case when moving.
3770k used the dead end 1155 socket .... I can't recommend new builds using it as no upgrade or repair path

I can't recommend the H100 series coolers. yes it's cool to be able to tell ya friends ya system is watercooled but you won't have to , the noise will alert the neighbors

"Corsair Enthusiast 850 Watt Bronze Certified." Doesn't tell me anything

HX - top notch
TX850 V2 - very, very good
TX850M - not so good as above
CS Anything - skip it
GS anything skip it

This combo w/ HX850 is $190 ($45 MIR)

Corsair 500R (MSRP = $140 can be had this week on newegg for $70 .... outstanding case)

Each 3 dB is a doubling of sound pressure so it's roughly 2 x 2 x 2 x2 x2 or 32 times louder.

I can't see any case to be made for the 7950 at this point in time. I think a 760 now and another later will still beat the single GPU top end 800 series.
