ok hey guys its me Blenderbros1 any how i needed to change my thermal paste on my gpu heat sink and chip well...i took it apart and cleaned it off good the thermal paste that was on that was preatty crusty :/  its a gtx 650 by the way well any how the only thermal paste i had on me was type z9 silicon thermal paste well i made shure to apply a thin layer of paste by spreding it really thin and fine well....i put it all back together and tighten down the heatsink really good and started up my computer...i noticed my temps where SUPER low and i was like WOW i was getting 25 at idle on air i was getting 35 or 36 so i thought i was doing really good...heres where things get wierd i tried a stress test like kombuster and my temps would shoot up by 20 and ended up by 70 before i applyed this paste it never got that high the highest i ever seen my card go was around 59 sometimes 60 on a bad day....then i just re did the whole paste agin and it still is doing this..why ? idk and i would like my temps back to a good stand point i know gpu can take high temps like that but i really dont like seeing my gpu having 70 its really annoying so could you guys help me?

no dude listen i was never hitting past 59 before..now im at 70 and the highest 80 what do i do? to get it back down to 59 at 100 full load like i had it before removing the paste that was factory applyed
