fx4130 3.8ghz running at 4.1ghz?

I recently built a computer and everything is going great with it. I went into the bios out of curiosity and saw that my cpu was running at 4100mhz? Why? Anytime I went in the bios to look around I never saved what I did except when I first built the computer and changed the date/time. That's the only way I can see I might have done something.

I have an asus m5a97 motherboard btw.

Have you tried resetting the BIOS to factory defaults? I would do that, then see if there are any BIOS updates available from Asus as well.

I restarted my bios and it's at 3.8ghz now but one of my memory modules stopped working. I don't think the 2 are related, I think I just got faulty memory. Anyway, thanks for your response.

yeah hi i had 3 amd builds ffx 6100, fx 8150&8350 piledriver that sounds about right 4100 without boost 3.6 with 3.9 and the 8150 without 3.9 with 4.2 so with boost it adds .3 you are definately using the boost
