Will my psu can power hd 7870?

hello guyz iam about to buy a new gpu that is xfx7870hd buy iam tensed that will my psu can power it or not, iam using cooler master thunder 500w and its having 1x6pin where as i heard 7870 requires 2x6pin pcie connectors please tell me is it safe to use molex or i should buy a new psu or i should go with gtx 660?

my playing resolution will be 1440x900 .

Yea your psu is fine if its a decent quality psu. Can't comment on the quality of the cooler master thunder b/c that only sold in india. correct?

and molex is safe, why wouldn't it?

Molex will not be risky. At all but i wud advice to change psu as it is in great offer and best quality

Its a way better than the cx 500 which is a tier 3 supply
And remember its made by seasonic which is best

Yes it would even power a gtx 770 refference design card
