So I recently installed a game and it had me adjust my brightness in-game... However it didn't just change it in-game, it changed it in my actually settings or something. I figured out I could just revert it by using the Nvidia Settings in the control panel (and the other option is "Other applications control color settings"). But even with the nvidia settings selected the brightness will still change whenever I play certain games... It's really annoying and would like to know if there's a way to get rid of it happening...

EDIT: Now I can't even use the nvidia settings to correct the brightness, it's permanent unless I manually change it... Which I don't want to attempt because matching what it was would be difficult. The monitor is an Asus VG248QE 24"

Hi Coby.

These are my suggestions: Try to see if you can disable it on the game options menu. If you can't, check if it isn't a monitor's "feature" or something similar.

I'm no real expert to suggest anything else, but be more specific about your hardware/software, that way maybe someone can be more useful =P
