Cf card stops while moving pictures from it

Hey, before the event, i've moved all my images from my 16 sandisk cf card! And everything was normal! When the event finishes i've took my cf card as usual to move the pictures! And while the pc was taking the pics, it suddenly stops and doesn't respond and the pc and camera won't read the cf! So guys any idea?!

The event was a fair!
The pc removed almost 40% from the cf and my pc stop responding. so i removed the cf card reader and plugged it back in but the pc won't read it! And that what happened!

Eum yes! i've put it in my friend's camera (5d mark iii, and my camera is a 7d) and the cf was unreadable and it needed to be formated (that what both of the cameras were saying) so it could be read! So my friend and i assumed that the problem was in the cf! do u agree?! and if yes do u know what could be the solutions?!

Can the problem PC read another CF card that has data on it? Can it read the same card, or does it show that the CF needs to be formatted also?

we didn't have another pc or card reader! but my friend had his cf card in his 5d and was shooting the event without any problem and i tried it on my 7d and it was good! that's y we assumed that the problem is in my cf!

the problem that i'm concerned about getting the rest! and there is video too!
