I recently bought a Sapphire HD 7870 GHz edition as recommended by you guys, but now i have the problem of my current power supply cuts out when i try and run games. I was hoping you could help me on choosing a power supply that will cope with my graphics card, I currently have a CIT 500w Micro Atx Power Supply, but it's quite old now so im looking for one that can actually power my system. Thanks.

Also would it be dangerous to keep running my computer with this power supply as it cuts out from time to time?

Its enough hey!

Your 500W PSU should be able to take on HD 7870 easily.

But if its not alright (Has faults) then changing it is advised.
Buy XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified PSU.

I thought it would be, but i tried to run Tomb Raider on Low setting at first and my computer just shut down and wouldn't turn back on, so i flicked the power button on the power supply to off then on and it worked again, so i feel my power supply has had it's time. Thanks for the reply.
