Hey guys, I am slowly, with little finance, building myself a gaming pc. And at the moment it looks like this:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 - 3.4 Ghz AM3 Black Edition CPU
Asus M4N75TD Motherboard
8GB RAM 1333Mhz
8600gt 512mb
Just upgraded from a dual core, and I know this ain't the best pc, but my next move is to upgrade my graphics card- this one performs well for videos, edits and all those things but for game like arma2 I get about 15-30fps (from dual core), but mostly it sits on 16-18fps, and yes, at peaks it goes below 10fps which is annoying... Then for a game css or cs 1.6 I get about 60fps, and well it seems okay for me, but my friend tells me it's not the best for editing. And also lots of other games aren't performing like I would want them to.
So with that said I've been looking for cards and I've come up with this:
ATI Radeon HD 3870 X2 1GB DX10.1
-Yes, it is sadly only dx10 and it is old and yes it eats allot of electricity... BUT, testing it against it's 40pound value against even 120pound cards... the small old guy wins. Check for yourselves:

So I wanted to ask for your help, what do you think is best for as little as around 40pounds. Is this the best choice for now? And this isn't really long term; plans are to buy a hd 6950 2gb dx11 later- but if you think I should buy something else, feel free to comment
