hi ive been trying to install diablo 2 on my new laptop its running windows 7 ultimate and it gets to around 99 percent installed then an error pops up saying cannot create save directory and just sends me back to the start ive tried creating the folder myself but with no luck ive tried running the file installation as administrator but still no luck im losing my mind and getting more annoyed in the process of trying to install this game i know it works because ive already installed it on my pc and it works fine im just lost as to what the hell to try now any help would be appreciated but im not really technical with all this stuff so if i could get the simple version i would be grateful cheers all

"to install D2 with w7 64bit i install it in the regular program files C:\Program Files\Diablo II not C:\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II. Then after updating you right click on both diablo II.exe and game.exe and change the compatibility to xp sp3".
