Gigabyte 7850 1gb vs 7850 2gb

which card will be best 1gb or 2gb

1 gb is clocked at 900mhz
2 gb is clocked at 975mhz

i have i5 2500k
right now i have a old lcd 720p but in 3 to 4 months i will buy 1080p 22" led

which card be best suited for me on 1080p ultra
is it worth to buy a 2 gb
i also have to buy a power supply along with card

i am going with this psu

For 1080p, get the 2GB version. Although it will not do ultra settings in that many games.

You need to spend a little more on A PSU though, 430 is too close to minimum and the Thermaltake is junk.

if i spend more on psu then i will not be able to buy the 2gb version
there are three options of psu for me with 2gb version

That specific Thermatake is pretty good actually, get the Thermaltake 530W.

1. 1gb vs. 2gb should not be a major selection criteria.
Here is a report on the difference between 2gb and 4gb using GTX680.
I know, not exactly apples to apples.
But it appears to me to be a minor performance difference, not a functional difference.

CX430 should work, but I would add 20%; it will run quieter and more efficiently.

Buy only a quality psu. Thermaltake is on this lemon list:

That Thermaltake unit is decent. Its fine.
As for 2GB, its a must for 1080p gaming!
