Web Browsing freezing my computer?

Sometimes when i am on the internet and i open a few pages at the same time my computer will freeze for about 10 seconds then come back. My computer never freezes while im playing games though. Also i was opening a lot of programs at the same time and my computer also froze then. Is my ram messed up or something?

You might be running low on ram when you open all of these things, so your computer starts using your hard drive as cache ( refereed to as disk thrashing).

Open up task manager and see what percentage of your ram is in use when you're not running anything and when you open programs up (and your computer freezes).

If it starts getting to above 60 to 80%, you'll notice a decrease in performance as the computer starts moving things from ram onto your hard drive.

I wouldn't expect it to be as bad as your computer freezing up, unless your hardware is that bad.

I have 8gb of ram and i made this computer, i guess i should have mentioned that eariler.
