Hi Guys,

Going to be one of those days. I installed a new driver for my M-Audio Fast Track Guitar/Mic interface. It works fine but it disabled one of two monitors. When I rebooted, the HDMI monitor got no signal. I'm using a Radeon 7750 card with one monitor (the one I can see now) on DVI and the black one on the HDMI port. No hardware changes, no cable rearranging, bupkis. I did switch the cables on the monitors (identical ASUS V239's) afterwards and both monitors work so it is definitely the card.

I opened the screen resolution and it only showed one screen. Same with the Catalyst Control. Unfortunately, I didn't think to create a restore point before putting in the new audio software. Who knew?

At any rate, one screen is a lot better than none but I'd like to get this figured out. Any suggestions or observations would be deeply appreciated, sh

Try uninstalling amd and ccc. Then re-install. Or, there is a new AMD beta driver (13.8). Try installing that.

I did that -- no change. I had to plug one of the monitors into the mobo when I uninstalled Catalyst. When it came back up, both monitors worked fine at 1920 X 1080. The HDMI is on the motherboard and the DVI is still in the graphics card. I don't use this computer to game so I'll leave it like this until something else goes wrong. I've got a long history of woe with this install here on the Tom's archives so working is way ahead of the curve. The audio device works too so all's well and thank you for your help. sh
