Hello guys. It's my first post here and I hope you can help me with my problem.
It all happened when I bought myself a new GPU. I bought a new ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5 (I was on a tight budget from my parents...). I installed it correctly, made sure I plugged both PSU cables in it (2x6pin) and started my PC. It ran smooth with no real problems. Tried a few games that I had installed and I was satisfied with my purchase. My problems started two days later when I got what looked like a mouse freeze, but then realised that it was my PC that froze. Did a quick restart and it was fine. But from then my PC keeps freezing (sometimes for 3-5 seconds, sometimes it requires a restart and sometimes it even makes a crazy repetitive sound like old BSOD before Windows 8). Can anyone find a solution to this? :(

P.S.1: I did a clean install of the video driver before going into playing.

P.S.2: I have the 326.41 driver, but it happend the same with 320.49 driver too (the first one I installed).

P.S.3: Forgot to add PC specs: AMD Phenom II x4 945 3.00GHz, 4GB RAM DDR2@800MHz, ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe MOBO, ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP 1GB, Thermaltake TR2 420w PSU, WD Blue WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM, Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9 160GB 7200 RPM (almost wooden PC, I know...)

Your power supply is too little in tems of wattage (more than likely). A GTX560 requires a 520W PSU minimum, a GTX560 Ti needs at least a 500W PSU. I recommend getting a quality 550W from XFX, Seasonic, Corsair, etc.

Not too much to say. It's a PSU that I had for some time now. You can see my edit on post about my computer.

I wouldn't say it's the PSU...Before the GTX 560TI I had SLI of GTS 250. Nvidia states that GTS 250 requires minimum 450W, but my SLI worked fine as it was. So you're telling me the PSU can handle 2 cards in load but can't handle a single, more powerful one while idle (always happens when browsing the internet, never in games, and I do play games like AC3 or BF3) ?

Sorry if I forgot to state that...NEVER happens in games. Always when I'm browsing around the folders or on the internet, like youtube or facebook. And also that it won't happen when playing, but if I do alt-tab and open the browser it might freeze from time to time...
