Is Asus's Trace Free technology really really important for true gaming experience?

Hey guys,

My budget doesn't allow me to go with either IPS or Trace Free display. So I might only be able to go with 5ms TN-panel.

So my question is how badly the absence of IPS/Trace Free will hit me? Especially in case of Trace Free, is it really that important/necessary to get an ultimate experience?

Thanks very much.

I would not recommend IPS for a gaming build

While IPS offers great color accuracy, wide viewing angles which make it great for photo editing, those features leave it inevitably compromised in gaming. I have a Dell U2410 IPS panel upstairs along with an Asus 120 Hz TN panel and side by side there is no comparison....The IPS panel makes a decent gaming screen but it pales next to the 120 Hz TN panel

Thanks man.

So 2 of 3 boxes (IPS vs TN, 2ms vs 5ms, Trace Free) have been unchecked. Meaning I neither need IPS nor strictly 2ms.

Now about Trace Free:
1. Is it available on TN displays?
2. If yes, will the gaming quality/visual smoothness improve drastically with it?
3. And does it come only on displays with 120hz or above?
