Total graphic memory way too low

I'm using antel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory on the 15 inch mac book pro retina display, I installed windows 8 to play games, but they were all too laggy, so i checked the total graphics memory, it showed me 256mb, is this correct? And how would i fix this if it is not. Plus, the Adapter Type showed up as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, instead of my actual graphics card

Well it looks like to me you have not installed the display adapter drivers for the HD 4000 or Nvidia 650M there for Windows 8 is using the default VGA drivers. I think those are handled by the Boot Camp drivers but am not sure since I only run OS X as a Hackintosh.
