Hi,

I just built a new computer with an AMD A4 APU with integrated graphics. I put everything together plugged my DVI cable from the motherboard video output to the monitor and turned it on. The computer turns on and seems to work just fine however no video is being displayed on the monitor.

These are my core components:

AMD A4-5300 Trinity 3.4Ghz

MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 FM2 AMD A75

Corsair XMS 4GB DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3m1A1333C9

I've read that sometimes you have to turn on a option in the BIOS however without being able to see my display I am unable to get to the BIOS.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance!

The BIOS should default to the on-board DVI port as soon as it sees the signal. The days of manually changing video outputs is almost past.
Be sure you didn't forget to set your monitor to DVI as opposed to VGA or HDMI. Be sure the CPU power is plugged into the MB securely.

If still no joy, Take the MB out of the case and bread board it with just APU/cooler, 1 stk RAM in 1st slot, monitor connected to MB DVI, and PSU. Start it by momentarily shorting the 2 pins the pwr button would connect to. See if you get a display. If not, I would suspect the MB is defective. The APU is mush less likely to be the problem from my experience.
