I was told elsewhere just today that, since I was inquiring something similar, that there's no point since there are new GPUs out next month that will make all others useless... True? I don't really want to wait for a month.

650ti most likely, that would max just about everything at 720p
check this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Sorry i think you must have misread. It says £150 not $150.
I have looked around and have found a HD 7870 for £155. Also a Gigabyte GTX 660 for £151.

Another thing will the AMD Athlon II X4 760k (4.2GHz) bottleneck any of these?

At that resolution and with that CPU I would get a 7770 or up to a 650 ti boost at the most. I'd probably get the 650 to boost if it were me

The 650 ti Boost is £125 but the HD 7850 is also £125. Which one? Or is it better to spend extra to keep the system lasting a bit longer?
