I want to image my system drive to a 500 GB Samsung SSD. The current drive consists of a couple of 30 GB Kinsgston SSDs in RAID 0. I don't have the right connector, e.g. one of these: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=848760&is=REG&A=details&Q=
but I do have a Sabrent USB 2.0 to 2.5"/3.5"/5.25" Hard Drive Converter: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=774365&is=REG&Q=&A=details
Using the combination of AC power supply with the provided power cable, I figured the Sabrent could work, but I wonder if the 3.3 V would be missing. The specs on the AC power adapter mention only 12 V and 5 V. I suppose I will not do any damage by trying it? I saw several suitable & cheap adapters available on the web, but I want to do this ASAP and don't want to spend $39 for the only one available in the local Best Buy store. I would appreciate suggestions.
