Do all cpu stock coolers have thermal paste pre applied? Because on this cpu I didn't see anything in the specifications tab about thermal paste

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

More about : cpu stock coolers thermal paste

It will be pre-applied but that tends to be a little much. I recommend a hyper 212 Evo, which will give you way better performance for roughly 30 bucks. Stock coolers aren't all that great.

Yes they do.

However, I don't know if the FX series is like the previous Phenom-II series, but I always found AMD stock coolers to be awful. Luckily, you can get a good aftermarket cooler between 30$ and 50$. If you get an aftermarket cooler, you will need to apply the thermal paste yourself. Just don't put too much of it, or watch videos on youtube on how to apply it and what quantity, but usually a grain of rice is enough because it will spread. If you put too much paste, it will have the reversal effect and you'll get higher temps.

Newer generation Intel stock coolers are good though (that is if you don't overclock).

Every stock heatsink has preapplied thermal paste

From a pentium to i7
From a athlon to fx 8350

Thanks for the info and as for the stock cooler I unfortunately can't afford an aftermarket cooler, however I chose a case that has several fans installed in it to compensate for if the stock cooler is bad.

My case

Thats not a good case for that price
Have u already bought it??

Yes fans effect the performance but the noise would be more

U can go for a cheap tx3 from cooler master for 15$

Would noise be the only problem?
because if so, I'll most likely be using headphones when I'm gaming and when I'm not I can just turn the fans off with the built in controller
and no I have not bought it yet

Yeah I agree, you could get this one instead, it's a little cheaper and looks better:

And here is the heatsink he was talking about:

Do you think that this case would cool my fx-6300 well? because if so I'm all for this case, because I have to admit the antec one I mentioned is pretty ugly and according to some reviewers, had some other problems regarding the front panel audio jack not reaching very far

Yes noise would be a problem and temps would be like 60c when gaming games like bf3 crysis 3

Then dont buy it mate i ll suggest u a case good enough but will save u bucks for a cpu cooler

Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($34.99 @ Microcenter)

And u can get a cooler like this if u dont want then its also ohkay

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus 76.8 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.99 @ Newegg)

What would be the point of me recommending it if it wouldn't cool your components well?

But since you're on a very tight budget, the latest recommendations by Sn1992 cost even less and should do the same job.

I like that case, it's cheaper, it has good cooling and frankly looks cool but I just have one question how would the four fans it comes with be powered? what would they hook up to? I just want to be sure before I get it

I think I'm going to wait until black friday to get the case as that's when I'm getting all my other components
Thank you all for the information!
