Okay so I'm putting together a build and I cannot make a decision on graphics cards, I've narrowed it down to either:

A single 2GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 or

Dual 1.5GB GDDR5 Nvidia GeForece GTX 660.

I'm just not sure what would be better? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

Either get 2 GTX760s or a GTX770. NO point in getting an overpriced and underpowered GTX680.

The two 660's would perform better, if they are a similar price to the 680, get them.

Xfx Hd 7970 sells for 290$
Sapphire hd 7970 sells for 305$

Sapphire Hd 7950 sells for 220$, performance is about the same/better then gtx 760.

The performance of hd 7970 is equal/better to gtx 680

Performance of gtx 770 is slightly better then hd 7970, but cost ~100$ more

If you want nvidia, get gtx 770/760

Pick hd 7970 for better p/p

Just out of curiosity, what games and what resolution will you be using? Just want to make sure you're not picking something too "overkill".

Note that these are all cards from last year, so they might be a little overpriced now.

I'd get a single 760 or a single 770 instead, much better bang for your bucks. I'm not a big fan of SLI, I would consider it only if you plan on using 3 monitors or ultra high resolutions.

Is this from an OEM? 1.5 GB 660's are OEM only.

EDIT; Sorry, Builder are they from a pre-built company.

Yeah. If you're an nVidia fan, just grab a 770. If you want best bang for your buck right now, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... I have this card, and they overclock like crazy.
