Pretty much what the title says. I currently have an EVGA 660 Ti and I'm currently looking at acquiring a SC GTX 760 ($259). I've heard that SLI still has some issues, but would the benefits negate them? How much of an improvement am I looking at? Would the 2 cards even be compatible? Thanks!

Care to explain why not, and what you suggest doing instead?

You need to SLI identical cards. So it wouldn't work.

Also if I may ask, do you have performance problems right now in your games? If not, I don't see the point. I'm not a big fan of SLI to start with, I'd rather have just one good single card instead. SLI increases the complexity of the system, requires a beefier PSU, consumes more electricity, generates more heat in your case, more chances of running into drivers problems, etc...

A GTX-660-Ti was a card released last year, so it's still pretty good. As I said, if all your games run great, I don't see the point of modifying anything.

because you can't sli different cards together.

sell your current card buy a gtx670 or a 760, the 760 surprisingly powerful, similar to a gtx580. if you need more power then get a 770.

You know, if your motherboard supports it, you could get another GTX 660 Ti and do a proper SLI setup. Seems like a better option than selling your existing card and getting a GTX 760 that performs exactly the same (I'm looking at you, byogamingpc and 13thmonkey  ).
