It's been about 3 years since I've built a new system and I could use a little help please. I've got the following spec'd out:

  • Bitfenix Prodigy Case
  • Core i-5 3570K 3.4GHz
  • Corsair Vengeance 8 GB ( 2 x 4 GB ) DDR3 1600 MHz
  • Gigabyte LGA 1155 DDR3 1600 Intel Z77
  • EVGA GeForce GTX760 SuperClocked w/EVGA ACX Cooler 2GB
  • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler
  • WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive

Where I'm running into trouble is the following:

  • What modular power supply under $100?
  • Do I need the 3570K if I don't plan to overclock?

Anything else I should be considering or aware of with what I'm planning on building? I really appreciate the help!

Solution
You might want to go with a rear mounted closed loop liquid cooling system for the cpu to get extra space in the case(lets you get tall ram too). Also, I have heard some people prefer a blower like design for the gpu as it does not leave excess heat in a small case like the prodigy.

As far as psu's go

60 Dollars
