here's my rig:

- 965 Phenom OC'd to 4.2 GHz / NB @ 2600 MHz
- 8GB corsair vengeance pro series (9-9-924, 1.5V , 1600Mhz)
- Gigabyte GTX 760 OC'd, in games it runs at 7GHz mem clock and 1332MHz Core clock
-Antec earthwatts 650W PSU
-Corsair H60 cooler
-Gigabyte ga-990fxa-ud3 motherboard
-Antec 900 case
-150GB WD HDD
=====================================================

So here's my question for you guys:

My previous OC on my CPU was 3.9 Ghz and 2000 Mhz on NB. Running the Metro LL benchmark at 1920x1080 with all settings enabled (SSAA box checked on, PhysX on, Tesselation very high, graphics settings very high) yielded me an average FPS during the benchmark of 26.

Now here's the crazy thing! Or so I think ;)

I OC'd my CPU to the settings mentioned above in my rig and now im scoring an average of like 40 fps !

Is this simply a result of me overclocking the northbridge!?

with these gains in fps, what setting of SSAA can I play with in game?

btw..what is the amount of SSAA when you check the box in the benchmark? it doesnt give you options like .5x, 2x, 4x, etc. ??

update:

I just ran the benchmark a few more times and now im averaging like 24fps ....

what gives!? My OC need to be tweaked?

I just looked at GPU-z and it wasnt running at full mem or core clock speeds for the last run, whereas it was before when i scored 40fps ...

whats up!? :(
