Hello all first time poster longtime reader.Pretty much a noob. My problem is that playing any game the keyboard becomes almost entirely unresponsive ie for wasd or esc it will work every 20th time or so. I have googled and TH the problem- other people have raised the issue before - and have concluded that it is not an ISP fault - I dont have Comcast - it could be a keylogger although if it is adaware spybot wisecare etc cannot detect it and I dont really want to start playing around with processes I fully do not understand - have looked through msconfig though and all the processes are from "trusted" companies, ie Windows, Valve, Adobe etc. So unless it is a snaky process under one of those companies Im a little unsure to say the least! Any advice out there?

you might try running malwarebytes anti-malware program if you don't already have it. there is a free version available on the malwarebytes site.

could it be just a faulty keyboard? does it work properly at other times?
Could your antivirus be over protecting you and stopping it working properly? I have heard of occasions where, in order to prevent keyloggers, the antivirus has become overprotective and stopped the keyboard working as it should.
I have also heard in the past that some nvidia drivers caused this to happen to some guildies and they had to roll back the drivers.

Thank you guys! Unfortunatly I did all three at the same time before testing so Im not too sure what fixed the problem. My keyboard is wireless with a USB and it works fine normally - its the one I'm using right now, I disabled the antivirus rolled back and reinstalled yes lianse - damn NVIDIA drivers and changed the port. And now it seems to humming along like nothing happened! If I had to guess though it was probably a faulty USB port which is annoying as the damn things only a month old. Anyhow thank you both for your input!
