I'm sure this has been posted before, and answered, so if you'd like to "link" go for it.
I'm intending to overclock my i5 4670k
I'd preferablly like to "modest" overclock, Just from 3.4 to 4.0GHZ, 4.4GHZ turbo.

My motherboard is Asus,
PSU is 750 watts, if you need more info; please ask.
Using Corsair h100i.

I realize, that the motherboard is pretty "good" at overclocking, and choosing a defualt setting via the fancy Bios.
However, I've heard that it gets voltage messed up typically.

So, if you're able to throw me some information about how many volts, Which areas I should increase for my overclock, etc, etc.

Also if you could throw some quick tips, such as...
How much does .1 of an overclock actually increase performance.
Or if you could get a .5 increment ,that'd be dandy as well.

Solution
All you need to do is change the multiplier in the BIOS to 40. You shouldn't need to adjust anything else. You will notice an improvement, especially in software that can take advantage of more speed. Just make sure that you cool it well. I recommend the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 EVO. Great value.

Yep, enter your BIOS and set the Multiplier manually, never do automatic. I have my 3570k also set to 40 so it's at 4Ghz when it's being used. The great thing about that is it will automatically downclock when not used to save power. I don't think the Turbo boost works if you manually set the multiplier but at least all 4 cores will run at 4Ghz, whereas turbo boost only done 1 core up to 3.9Ghz.

The H100i will definitely keep it cool, so no worries there. You can leave the voltage set to automatic, if it's manual, it won't scale down to safe power.

The Asus boards are great an provide an easy overclocking experience. The thing I've notices with their preset overclocks is that they tend to use the BCLK to overclock instead of the multiplier.
The better way to overclock especially a small overclock like you want is to use the clock multiplier, you won't be able to see the clock gen multiplier until you set the Ai Overclock Tuner option to manual and then you'll be able to set the CPU multiplier to 40 for a 4ghz overclock. Anything higher and you'll have to start adding voltage.

Thankies.
