Bios updates usually upgrade your motherboard to the newest cpus that the motherboard will support. Bios updates will also upgrade the chipset drivers. When you get your computer put together the DVD that came with the motherboard will usually have a Windows program that will help you update to the newest bios. You will recognize the program from the description. Just run it.

On newegg's website it say that it support FX processors so you should not need any BIOS update for this processor to work. Also, since it's an AM3+ mobo then it should be made for FX processor from the start. Cheers!
