Would this be a good mid-range gaming build?

I have to agree with X79, memory is something that is a tad fragile and can cause all sorts of long and short term problems if faulty, I like the Corsair Vengeance RAM, as it is cheap, pretty, extremely popular, plus Corsair has some of the best customer service in the world, so if it does go wrong then you will be in good hands...
I would also recommend perhaps upgrading the i3 to the i5, not too much price difference but the performance would see a worth while boost, especially seeing the components you are using...

I know G-Skill is a popular brand of RAM, but is there a reason why PNY RAM is bad?
