I recently purchased a new i7 4770k and a MSI Z87 GD65 MB, however I hook everything up and nothing nothing displays, The reason I purchased was because my AMD FX 8120 had the same issue, idk if its an old component or not. All my MB lights up and fans start blowing however my cpu doesnt heat up and my keyboard doesnt light up at all, I will list specs below.

CPU: i7 4770k
MB:MSI Z87 GD65 Gaming MB
RAM: 2 4GB Kingston RAM
PSU: Cougar CMX 1000w
HDD: OCZ Vertex 2 64GB

I use onboard Graphics

this is power settings hold 4 second the power switch and system will stop also your bios is set to reboot on power lost that what you do when you flip the back switch off and on.the other thing check if all the power cable are well seated on the motherboard where they should be also check if your memory stick are clip in the memory slot a bad clip memory could cause this .

i've use my monitor on my xbox multiple times that cant be the issue, also my computer turns on and wont turn off unless I hold the power button. If I flip the switch on the back off and flip back on within 10 seconds it will power back on by itself

The thing about this I unplugged all memory and got no post still black screen, I think it might be my PSU the CPU Power Cord not sure though because I dont not have another system to test

Hi JuRaS1C,
I would suggest you check the CPU power connector to see that no wires have come loose or have worn out. If possible check try another PSU. Its not the monitor, the problem seems to be the PSU not being able to give enough power. Also check if your PSU is Haswell certified or not.

yea I think it may be the PSU CPU Power cable I'm going to purchase a new PSU off newegg, im not sure though the board lights up and everything hope I didnt get a dead i7 from Microcenter or something wrong with the board but my last build was having the same issue so it should be the PSU right?
