About an hour or so ago I was using my desktop and suddenly the display shut off and my computer's fans went crazy. Now my system does not display any graphics whatsoever. Ive tried checking the cords, everything is fine. Has my GPU worn out? Its a Radeon HD 5850 that's about 3-4 years old.

Any help is appreciated!

ive got a dynex 520 watt PSU. ive had it for about a year with no problems but i never really considered if it was enough wattage. Could that be the problem? I did just overhaul a lot of hardware...

Dynex psu, Taken from Huntkey Green Star, is a "generic" PSU..for office and not for heavy user..

i'm afraid, that this dynex 520 just have 450 or even just 400 watt capability, because it's internally same..

Well, actually, this PSU almost crap PSU..

Yes, I think this is the main factor why you have a problem with your graphics card..

I'm using seasonic x-750 as my PSU since very first time i turn on my 5850, and everything is okay until now..

Hey, thanks! I took off one of my new fans and everything seemed to work fine. I guess I'm on the hunt for a new PSU now.
