I have a two year old rig.
The gtx560ti I got with it died recently, so I ordered a gtx760. And I did this after checking the psu calculator online to see if my corsair vx550 could handle my upgraded system. Although, everything was okay there, I just wanted to make sure with the more experienced crowd here, because psu requirements, with their power efficiency and bronze-silver-gold labeling, aren't exactly straightforward to casual users. So here are my specs:

i3 sandy bridge
X-fi titanium HD
GTX760
Crucial m4 ssd
Dvd+rw drive

Monitor and printer don't matter do they? I'm using dual monitors atm.

Thx

For a system using a single GeForce GTX 760 graphics card NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 500 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 30 Amps or greater and that has at least two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) rated at 45°C - 50°C ambient temperature, is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current...

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.

The Corsair Enthusiast Series VX550 (CMPSU-550VX) power supply unit, with its maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 41 Amps and with one 6-pin and one (6+2)-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors, is more than sufficient to power your system configuration with a single GeForce GTX 760 graphics card.

Haha, ty all. I've seen the colorful, seemingly automated (not saying it is :p) answer to similar questions asked on this board, and it must b a member designated to tackle all psu questions. Idk. So detailed and prompt that it almost feels too mechanical lol. But anyway, thx so much.

I guess I have nothing to worry about then. Its just that, I asked the question not only because of the vga card itself but the soundcard and such that goes along with it. Well, I will go ahead and install the card right in once it arrives!
