Hello! i have a question here that i do believe is also a question from a ton of amd users, this is all about dual graphics.

Here's what i got

- amd a86600
- 8 gig DDR3 2133 mhz ripjaws (4x2)
- Sapphire HD 6670 1 gig DDR5 128bit video card
- no overclocked done what so ever

Story:

I played Metro last light at 1080p with normal to high settings with a decent fps, (50-60fps)
- i activated dual graphics, (HD 6670+ gpu from my apu)
- this has been my set up for the last couple of months
- as i stumble upon on some things, i decided disable my dual graphics settings and just let my descreet card do all the work.

- i have noticed a considerable amount of improvement on the over all game play experience when i am just using my discreet GPU (consistent 10-12fps jump)

- so, to conclude, does the dual graphics technology of AMD is not really the "thing"?
- would it be far better just to let the discreet GPU do all the workload and disable the onboard GPU from the APU? and leave the graphics workload away from the APU

- technical opinions will be appreciated!
- Cheers Mates!

Dual graphics are, of course, better. If drivers work correctly. And in your case, it seems that they don't.

from what i can see, and read, once youve activated dual graphics, whats gonna happen is that the descreet graphics card will average with the onboard gpu, will only operate on ddr3, in my case, i am not taking advantage of the ddr5 card then, i moght be wrong though
