I have just bought a Verbatim NAS 1TB External Hard Drive. We have 2 PCs and a MacBook Air in the house.

All 3 devices are picking up the Hard Drive, however I'm having issues with the MacBook. On both PCs I am able to access and update the Public subfolders. However on the MacBook when I try to access these same folders, I'm getting the following message

"The folder xxxx can't be opened as you don't have permission to see it's contents"

Each folder has a small stop icon at bottom right indicating I don't have permission to access it. I still have these access issues when I'm logged in to the Hard Drive as admin.

Any help is welcome.

The file format is different, so it can be accessed from PC and not from MAC. PC uses FAT, FAT32, NTFS file format. MAC uses HSF+
