Hi, I'm planning on building a hardcore gaming PC, but trying to stick to a budget of just below £1000.
I need help with trying to find a suitable water cooler for my CPU, which will be an AMD FX-8350 (http://goo.gl/yr0YiT). Any ideas?

Solution
I use the Antec Kuhler H2O 920 on my 8350, and it works great. My temps stay around 22-25C idling, and haven't gone over 30C even while playing newer games at max settings. It tends to go for about $100 US, but I'm not sure what that converts to in Pounds/Euros.

Thanks Skeefers, great answer! When you say "newer games", could you give me examples? Also, what is the average temperature for an average AMD based PC? Thanks again.

Planetside 2 and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing are probably the two with the highest system requirements (both require a quad core processor and 500 series nVidia GPU). From what I've been able to find, a typical temp for the 8350 (not water cooled or overclocked) is about 40C, with roughly 62C being the max recommended. I know my Phenom II x4 965 idled at around 32C and maxed at 40C with the Kuhler 920, and that was only a quad core vice the 8 cores in the 8350. Suffice to say, 22-30C are great temps and leave plenty of room for overclocking.

Nice, so that's a pretty damn good water cooler you have there! I've just did a bit of research into it and it seems great for the small price. Thanks for your help!

Just wondering if you've over-clocked your 8350 AMD chip to get 22-25C idle - 30C Full load.
*
I'm currently have CPU voltage 1.312v - CPU North-bridge 1.200v
4.5ghz with full 8 core's running at 36-40c idle and 55c on bf4 / far cry 3.
Tested multiple time's and stable, but I keep seeing people getting the same or lower temp's at 4.8ghz with 6 core state on.

It's like my First PC I've built, so yeah trying make everything last around 3 years+. XD
