Low Frame rate on Asus GTX 770 DCU II

I have recently bought an Asus GTX 770 DCU II and I thought i would be able to run some of the latest games on pretty high settings but turns out some won't even pass the medium settings with 60 fps @ 1080p

I think the issue might be on my i5 2400 @ 3.1GHz

On my old card (a gtx 560 ti for the matter) i was able to run Battlefield 3 on medium at 70 fps more or less.

I have also heard that bf3 is very cpu intensive so could it really be it?

I might be wrong because I am not really good with computer performance/technlogy and if someone would be able to help me I would be thankful.

I have the latest WHQL drivers 320.49 .

Since the 700 series are only supported by 320.xx and above i can only use a few of them which have a lot of problems according to other users who have 700 series cards

I searched like crazy for a possible bottleneck but i'm still not sure about it. I can play Crysis on high at 60 fps though and tomb raider on ultimate at 60 fps avg as well. Anyhow I count on replacing my cpu for an i7 3770k soon so it shouldn't be much of a problem
