3Tb Hdd installation problems

Okay the problem im having is that my new hdd appears in disk management at the bottom in black ( unallocated ) but it doesnt appear at the top section so i cant choose it to do anything need help.

It is Disk 1 btw

Hi,

Right Click on the black area and select format. Select NTFS and quick format.
After format It will appear on the top.

Yes please select New simple volume, go through the wizard, select 100% of your drive. After that you should see format. I cant simulate what you are doing without deleting my drive

so it might take a few posts before I can help you exactly.

I guess you mean what drive letter? Looks like your drive D is not in use so you could pick D. Or F also. The system should restrict you if you select the wrong Drive letter that is already in use.

Only had 6GB left in my other hard drive and felt like pulling my hair out because i couldn't get it to work. Thanks again man
