if you want to run games smoother you definitely have to upgrade your cpu and your gpu. now i would think about upgrading both because if you upgrade only cpu then you wont have enough gpu power to run a lot of games with good graphics but if you upgrade only your gpu then games will bottleneck your cpu so this is like a dilemma. now the problem causing lags is definitely your cpu because you have very low...

its just whats the best so I can look myself :) but I wanna run games a bit smoother and I know its not my ram but what can cause the problems of lag

if you want to run games smoother you definitely have to upgrade your cpu and your gpu. now i would think about upgrading both because if you upgrade only cpu then you wont have enough gpu power to run a lot of games with good graphics but if you upgrade only your gpu then games will bottleneck your cpu so this is like a dilemma. now the problem causing lags is definitely your cpu because you have very low ghz and games will bottleneck it on even on medium or low settings. now in your condition i would first upgrade cpu but upgrading ONLY cpu will force you to run most games on low settings to get normal fps and don't get lags because of your gpu. so now you have to decide which one to upgrade but i strongly recommend to first upgrade cpu. if you tell us how much is/will be your upgrade budget we could also tell you what will be the best hardware to buy in that price.
